Where do I go to adjust the brightness or HDR settings?
- These options can be found by selecting Options > Visuals > Calibrate Display. From here, you have the option to adjust brightness, black levels, and HDR (if your screen supports it).
How do I turn on HDR in Borderlands 3?
- You have to turn HDR on in you Windows display setting first though. Then when the game launches it’ll not be in HDR…but low and behold if you go into settings/visuals and then click Calibrate Display you will see the option to Enable HDR above the brightness settings.

This option was not there until I enabled HDR in windows display settings. Most games don’t need you to, but Gears of War 5 and Borderlands 3 do apparently.
Haven’t seen this answered anywhere else online…so just doing my part to help spread that YES the PC versions supports HDR.
