Celeste might be hard for some and some might want to get all the achievements but it takes way too long,well this is why I made this guide.I was trying to beat farewell(the last level)but i couldn’t at first and i really wanted to complete the game then and there,and so I searched for a guide but there were no guides showing tips or tricks to make the game easier.Fast forward to now and I got 100% of the game done and also have done all the achievements.
An important thing to keep in mind is that if you want all the achievements,the mentioned modes below won’t affect the possibility to get them,meaning that you can still 100% the game and get all the achievements while having them activated.
Cheat mode
What is Cheat Mode?
Cheat mode is a secret mode in Celeste,that when activated grants you access to all the b-sides,c-sides,all the levels,golden strawberries and more.
NOTE: Cheat mode only makes the things mentioned above able to be unlocked,you still have to complete the levels,get the strawberries and the crystal hearts to make them appear on the file select screen and to make the game be 100% complete.
How do you activate Cheat Mode?
Cheat Mode is enabled in the Prologue.Go to the hidden screen on the left of where you begin and you will see a car,if you found this room follow the next step.
- The code to activate the cheat mode
- The code consists of the following actions:
- Left, Right, Journal, Climb, Up, Up, Down, Left, Climb, Confirm
If it worked, you should hear a sound effect, be taken back to the chapter select menu, and have a ribbon on you’r save file.
NOTE: You should use the cheat mode only if you want to make getting all the achievements easier and not if you want to speed the game up because it will make it less fun to play if you have all the levels unlocked.
Assist Mode
Assist mode is a mode that makes the game easier,Ex:More dashes,slower time,etc.
This mode is the second most powerful mode in the game,the first being the cheat mode
To activate this mode you need to go on the file selection screen,select the file you want to have the mode activated on and turn assist mode on,from there when you are in a level you can activate various settings from the journal.
IMPORTANT!
Use these modes only to make getting all the achievements and the levels easier because once you finish the game with the modes on the game might not seem fun anymore.
