Zero Overdose Strategy

It’s pretty simple actually.

1) Use the large Lab Mixer as soon as You get access to the sector B. It will make precise mix with zero losses.
2) Sell only 70% Amphetamine 30% Baking soda mix to Your addicts.
3) Sell pure Amphetamine to Your Dealers.
4) If You want easy addicts, mix 70% Amphetamine + 30% Methamphetamine mix, but don’t give it to Your addicts or dealers!

You can use any type of mill to mill Methamphetamine in to the powder before mixing it.

As You can see I am quite far in the game but have zero overdose cases among my clients in my contacts list.

Things That can Cause OD Incidents

  • Selling Extasy to regular clients
  • Selling Metamphetamine to regular clients.
  • Selling Mixes designed to cause addiction to Your dealers.

I will assume that selling anything stronger than pure Amphetamine to Your clients will cause OD accidents.

DEA Raids

I did a bit of testing to trigger a DEA raid to see what it looks like.

Most likely You will never encounter DEA because You really need to try Your luck to trigger it.

They are real and if they catch You inside Your lab, You get a game over screen.

I was playing on maximum threat levels for quite some time and nothing happened.

I think, what triggered DEA was when I put 27000 and 30000 in to the bank account using ATM.

You get a warning message, etc.

First time You spot a DEA car You will get a message. I got a shiny, black SUV.

If You go inside You will trigger a timer and You will have to pick a lock of Your own door to get out.

DEA car will be now parked right in front of Your doors. If You wait too long You will be advised to leave everything and run.

If You keep waiting You will get some smoke in the room and an endgame screen above.

This is what my current workstation looks like there. Sorry, nothing to to brag about.

And this is what I saw after I found my own warehouse locked for the first time.

Notice that the furniture is gone except the wall safe to the right. At first I thought it is just a bug because all my drugs were still there, hanging in the air where the workbench was supposed to be.

Also all the bags were still there so it seems that bags are “safe storage” at the moment (until developers patch that) too.

At first I really thought it was just a bug. I took all the Coke I needed to deliver for the Gang and ran to the place I knew I can throw it over the fence.

I got chased by police, threw my bag just seconds before getting tazed. When I came back the bag was there with all my stuff.

Made my gang delivery and got about 30000. I used that money to make another ATM test near the furniture store, bought another workbench and that is when I got the final “end game” action.

What’s important – it seems that DEA event will never trigger in Your initial apartment. As I was mostly running around it all the time and nothing was happening.

Random Other Facts and Details About The Game

* Invest a bit in stealth early. Will help You in avoiding police. Everything else invest in Quick Learner and something in Extra pockets.

* Extra pockets will become handy later when You need to traffic small amount of drugs between zones A and B and throwing cases over the fence is too much of the burden.

* 10g is largest package that fits in Your pocket.

* Hidden Wall Safe can hold only 1000$.

* Cupboard in Your original base can hold precisely 10000$ (there is a bug that when You try dragging money to and from inside it It will take 9999$. But You can add 1 more and have 10K.)

* You can use construction tunnels to get between zones A and B but the price goes up. It’s expensive and waste of money.

* La Bellena later will give You suitcases with a lot of money inside. More than You can put inside any bag manually. Use that in Your advantage when You need to pay larger sum in cash to Eddie.

* Things left on ground seem to stay there indefinitely. Although I haven’t tested it in more detail. I had multiple cases thrown in pile in abandoned building and those cases were still there after a week or more in the game.

* I used to throw extra bags/cases inside LaBellana dead drop storage to get rid of them. It seems like a working strategy.

* Never decline new clients. Wait until You can get to them and sell what they need. I have never seen a client complain that I did not pick up his order.

* Clients do not seem to have any particular tastes. You can perfectly run Your drug business with single type of drug.

* You only need tree types of mixes:

a) Safe mix for addicts only.
b) Regular mix for dealers.
c) Laced mix to generate addicts.

* It seems like Your only need for addicts is to advance the main quest line. I have not found a good use for addicts later in the game, but things can change after I advance further. All clients can become dealers and dealers are way better for You than having direct clients.

* Using any other mixer except the large lab mixer from Drug store will make errors in Your mix leaving with multiple batches of similar type of mix that do not stack. Mixing them together might not be a good idea if You want to avoid OD incidents.

* You can pick locks on certain doors. Most of those buildings are completely empty but at least one has some furniture inside.

* There is a warning message when You try to sell something to the clients in Bad Asia.

* Fastest way to unlock next region is to have a bag full of spray cans and run around spraying Your gang emblem on walls. Just check Your laptop which region You need to max out for unlock and watch the messages.

* Drugs can be used by main character by dragging 1g piece in to the quick access slot and pressing corresponding key. There is guide out there for more detail about effects that drugs will cause on Your own character.
