- Requirement: having completed Welcome to Hogwarts
- Reward: 260 XP, Levioso
- Quest Info: I attended Defense Against the Dark Arts class. It went well. I learned a new spell, Levioso, the Levitating spell. Then I learned how to use Levioso to break an enemy’s magical shield. On top of that I participated in my first duel and I’m honestly the natural talent. Perhaps I could give that unofficial dueling club a try?

Starting Location: Defense Against the Dark Arts
On your first day at Hogwarts, you’ve received an important compendium from Professor Weasley, the Wizard’s Field Guide, a book that should get you up to speed with the other fifth-year students. As Professor Fig looks into the mystery that set off the game, we must now attend our first class, Charms.
Go to Defense Against the Dark Arts Class
From your starting point, press to reveal a golden wisp track and follow it to your destination. When you get to the classroom, press to start the quest. Shortly after the first cutscene, during which we learn about the importance of leaving your enemies defenseless, you’ll be presented with the tutorial to learn Levioso, the levitating spell allowing you to lift objects as well as people. As in the very first main quest, steady your wand with the left stuck and guide it along the symbol’s path to learn the spell. Don’t let go of the left stick and remember to press the corresponding button to gain speed and lose the red spark.
Select Defence Against The Dark Arts Class Quest and follow the marker to reach the location without difficulties.
When you enter the classroom, Sebastian Sallow and Leander Prewett will have a wands duel, which causes that a large Hebridean Black skull falls on the students. At that very moment, the Professor Hecat will make her appearance conjuring the Levioso spell, saving both students from being crushed by the skull.
After a brief introduction, she will teach you how to conjure the Levioso Spell, a Levitation Charm, starting with something small.
Steady your wand with Left stick and guide it along the symbol’s path to learn the spell. Press the corresponding Input when prompted to accelerate your wand’s motion along the symbol’s path.
Perform a Levioso Cast on the Training Dummy
During the class, you will learn the Levioso spell – complete the mini-game by following the cursor along the path shown on the screen (press the X/A button when needed).
You can test the spell on a training dummy: After learning Levioso, press / for a Basic Cast on the training dummy.
Cast Levioso on the Training Dummy, Followed by a Basic Cast
Now cast Levioso by pressing + / + and / immediately after to complete this objective.
Duel Against Sebastian
Time for battle now! Cast Levioso on Sebastian, a Slytherin fellow, followed by repeated Basic Casts to whittle down his health bar. Remember to press / to cast Protego when prompted. Rinse and repeat until Sebastian falls off the battle grounds.
Sebastian can also attack you with Levioso and you have to defend yourself – after the circle appears above the your head, activate the Protego spell (Triangle/Y).
The duel will end when one of the students loses their entire health bar or is knocked off the table. Unfortunately, there is no special reward for defeating Sebastian (except receiving congratulations from the professor).
Speak with Sebastian
Now approach Sebastian to talk to him. As you speak to him, exhaust the conversation any way you like.
