Simple Little Sim World beginner’s guide: optimize graphics, complete main quests, and master the eating & seating mechanics for a smoother, faster gameplay experience.
Progression
- Follow the Main Quests
Completing these will unlock Town Level 1 and new buildings. - Leveling Your Town
As you finish objectives, your town gains XP—unlocking shops, services, and crafting stations.
Eating & Seat’ing
- When you hover over food in your inventory, look at the icon in the top-right:
- A table+chair icon means you need a seat.
- To eat (and solve the “won’t eat” bug):
- Click a chair to sit at the table.
- With your Sim seated, open your inventory and click the food item to consume it.
- If it still won’t register, try exiting the game and reloading—you’ll often be able to eat normally afterward.

- Use phone booths to fast-travel, access quests, and call services.
Crafting Materials & Recycling
- Keep All Recyclables!
- Later, use the Crusher in front of D&Y Construction to turn:
- Plastic bottles → Plastic blocks
- Metal cans/caps → Metal blocks
- Glass bottles → Glass blocks

Storage Solutions
- Cardboard Box
- Build immediately for basic storage.
- Plastic Storage Chest
- Unlocks once you’ve researched or crafted the required materials.
Gym & Fitness
- Strength Machines
- Boost your Sim’s resilience (reduces illness chances and improves stamina).
- Health (Heart) Machines
- Increases your Speed and Endurance bars.
- Pro Tip:
- If you have the money, subscribe to Tier 3 Gym Membership to access pre-workout juice machines—buffs your workout gains.
Shopping & Self-Care
- Grocery Store Essentials:
- Face soap (skincare)
- Toilet cleaner
- Shower cleaner
- Skincare Routine:
- Interact with a sink to do a quick skincare action—it slows down your happiness and hygiene decay.
Performance Tweaks
- Enable V-Sync
If your PC can handle it, turn on V-Sync in Settings → Graphics. It smooths out frame pacing and reduces screen tearing.
