This is your guide to the secret route in “Love Begins With Goodbye,” featuring Yingluo (or Zhenguo)! Unlike the other characters, this route isn’t accessed through a simple choice. It depends entirely on your actions and communication throughout the entire game.
This guide will explain how to unlock this hidden chapter and achieve both of its endings. Affection for Yingluo is gained through text messages and will be marked with 💛.
How to Unlock the Yingluo / Zhenguo Route
To unlock Chapter 6 with Yingluo, you must consistently choose positive and engaging responses to her text messages from Chapter 1 through Chapter 5.
Here is the fastest and most reliable method:
- Be a Good Texter: On any character’s playthrough (Luo Xue’er’s is a good choice for this), always reply to Yingluo’s messages promptly and choose the most positive option (e.g., “Miss you” 💛 in Chapter 1). Do not ignore her or let the timers run out.
- Trigger the Branch: You must reach a specific branching point at the end of Chapter 5. This point varies depending on whose route you are on:
- On Luo Xue’er’s Route: At the Arrive at fjord choice, select SILENCE.
- On Enola’s Route: At the Details choice, select SILENCE.
- On Leah’s Route: At the Always kept dark choice, select Don’t want to continue 💔.
- Unlock Chapter 6: If you have maintained a positive message history with Yingluo, choosing the options above will lead you directly into her unique Chapter 6, bypassing the other endings for that route.
What is the “Afterthought ENDING”?:
If you trigger the branch point (by choosing “SILENCE” etc.) but have ignored Yingluo’s messages or given negative replies throughout the game, you will get the Afterthought ENDING immediately in Chapter 5 instead of proceeding to Chapter 6.
Chapter 6 Walkthrough: Yingluo’s Endings
Once you’ve successfully unlocked Chapter 6, your choices within it will determine which of the two “Truth” endings you receive.
Last Truth ENDING (Positive Path)
Choose the more affectionate and forward options to get this ending.
