Train with 5 Support Card Characters at once in Career
If you’re having a hard time clearing the “Train with 5 Support Card characters at once in Career” quest in Umamusume Pretty Derby, you’re not alone I was stuck on it too. After testing a few different setups, I found a reliable method to boost your odds. Here’s how I managed to complete it, step by step.
Raising Odds

Step 1: Unlock the “Specialty Priority” Passive
First, I made sure I had the R support card “[Tracen Academy] Sakura Bakushin O” in my collection. Once I leveled it up enough, it unlocked a passive ability called “Specialty Priority 20.”

This passive increases the likelihood that support cards will gather in the same training area, which is crucial for this quest. I can’t stress enough how much this one skill improved the consistency of group training events.
Step 2: Build a Speed-Focused Deck
Next, I built a support deck filled entirely with Speed-type cards. The goal here is to funnel all support characters into the same training type, improving the chance they’ll all appear together.

Important note: Avoid borrowing Speed cards from your friends if possible. I found that friend support cards tend to have lower appearance priority compared to your own, making them less likely to show up when you need that crucial 5-card training opportunity.
Step 3: Choose Haru Urara for the Career
I selected Haru Urara as the main character for the run. Her campaign provides an extended number of training days, which naturally increases the number of chances to get a 5-support-card training opportunity.

The extra time allows you to be more selective with your energy and decisions, so you’re not forced into poor training sessions due to low stamina.
Tips: One thing I learned the hard way: don’t blow all your energy on training sessions that don’t offer the 5 support cards. You’ll want to keep your energy high and be patient it may take several cycles before you get a qualifying group.
Also, double-check the characters during each training session. Sometimes, you might see five characters on-screen, but one of them isn’t actually a support card. For example, Akikawa might appear in the group, but since she’s not a support card, that session won’t count toward completing the quest.
This quest is a bit of a grind, but with the right setup and some patience, it’s very doable. Using Sakura Bakushin O’s Specialty Priority, a Speed-based deck, and Haru Urara’s long campaign really made the difference for me.
Good luck, trainers I hope this strategy helps you clear the quest as it did for me.
