BONELAB Map 11 Pillar Hints

Here’s couple of hints on how to progress and not be mad.

The Bottom

After void sphere breaks through the glass, it spawns several void flies. Every time a void fly hits you, your avatar will change randomly.
Here’s the worst part: you can become Short (an alien cat).
Map 11 / Pillar hints.
Short can’t make some of the jumps on the climb, so if this is what you’ll end up with, you can get soft-locked in the bottom of the well. Main menu and reload is your only salvation. Kill all the void flies but one. Then make sure you have a good parkouring avatar like Fast or Tall. Ironically, even Heavy is a better climber/parkourer than Short.

also, might be a bug or glitch, but Light can sometimes fall through the cracks and get stuck in the floor. Might not happen to you, but did happen to me once.

The Climb

Main thing to remember while climbing – is to progress slowly, do not rush, and keep a weapon ready. The climb itself is fairly straightforward, but you still need to keep an eye out for any void flies.

once you reach a certain point, the round pistons in the floor change you to Tall when you stand on them. Not that it’s very importaint, but you do approach the top as Tall.

Combat

Things to keep in mind. Tall and Heavy can’t effectively use all weapons. It’s ridiculously hard to reload guns (like pistol, for example) while playing them. So chose weapons accordingly.

As you reach the higher parts of the pillar, you’ll have a small combat section. Here you’ll find:

Couple of magical turrets. These throw slow, easy to dodge/avoid but heavy hitting projectiles. You may chose to ignore turrets, or take them out.

The void flies. By now, you know what they are and how to deal with them. Don’t forget you have slo-mo.

The void sphere. Here’s something I wish I knew from the beginning: destroying the sphere kills all the void flies it has summoned. Rifles and shotguns are very effective against it, so if you destroy it quickly, you won’t waste time on void flies.

Kill the sphere and pop the avatar ball. don’t get hit by the turret you’ve ignored and it’s done.
