Like any Borderlands game – it’s all about the loot, and the Legendary Weapons are the cream of the crop. Borderlands 3 features countless different Legendary Weapons that go above and beyond normal weapons with new styles, skins, and hidden effects.
Note that Legendary Weapons and Items can be found at different levels, and the weapon damage will scale to your currently level on finding it, but other effects remain the same.

This assault rifle has a very sexy cheetah print weapon skin, and has a very unusual firing pattern referenced in its weapon text, allowing you to fire off quick bursts rather than holding down the trigger to empty the entire clip.
did this at level 30, got the gun & thought, “wowsers!!” & then even before I could use it ONE TIME! when I talked to Clay to finish the mission, POOF!!!…it was gone.. 🙁 It was marked as a mission gun with a blue diamond, but maybe it was not supposed to be a mission gun?? Not sure, just really, REALLY disappointed…& sad….anybody else have that happen??
Yep, this happened to me too. When I looted the chest I got two in my inventory – one with a blue diamond and one without. Of course, the one with the blue diamond had way better rolls :\ Then it was gone…
Same here. Got 2 versions, one marked as mission weapon (with scope) and one normal legendary (without scope).
