Egg Scramble Tips and Tricks
On to the next tip. A lot of us hate this game. Like, a LOT. I might delete this in the future, even, because this is one of my MOST important secret tip. However, I’ve been matched with “not-so-smart” teammates and lose a couple of egg scrambles, which kinda makes me sad, so I’m here to educate everyone in hopes of getting better teammates. Again, I took this from this video at 6:30 mark:

So Egg Scramble is about gaining points. First of all, at the start of rounds, Everyone goes for the golden Egg. There are 3 of them (your team should get one golden egg because of this). There’s a good reason everyone rushes for these = it’s worth 5 points. Keep it in your basket. But people DO steal, so how do we guard against that? Well, become the BLOCKER of your team!
Well look at the example picture again.
So in this picture, Wander is playing as Red, in the Red Basket. Which, yeah, we know teams steal eggs from each other after the initial Egg Collection, why not grab some egg of your own and save it yourself? (or he was putting eggs by getting in the basket himself, which… good thing to do, except you can throw those eggs.
So there’s a reason I highlighted part of the top block with red circles. You see, I’ve noticed something about this game.
Basic Nature of Fall Guys #2, your bodies collide and cause people to bounce a bit.
It’s a great and fun mechanic, it’s the nature of this game. But what you didn’t know is that it’s vital in Egg Scramble. If 4-6 of your teammates stand there in the painted circle, (UPDATE EDIT: you can do this with 3 people quite reliably. If you’re alone or with one other person, you gotta be somewhat active going from left to right and pray there’s not 4 thieves going out at once) people can’t get out. No matter how many people try to steal your eggs, you won’t have to worry about what happens in the basket. If anything, by disabling their exit, you’ve effectively killed off those players since they can no longer do anything for the match to help their team or to reduce your scores. The advantage is then on you. How many of your teammates are in the middle of the field? If you outnumber them, or atleast disable some of those egg stealers, your current points are secured, and your other teammates can take eggs from the now-not-so-crowded field, Assuming that they’re not trapped in a basket already.I’ve tried this multiple times but it couldn’t work well because I was the only one doing this kind of blocking. My fellow teammates guard scores by getting in the basket, which causes them to be unable to chase stealers that DO get out. Getting in your own basket is the worst thing you could possibly do.
This tip is not perfect, and I will add extra tips to augment this:
- You can rapid-grab button (not that rapid, just don’t hold it down too long) to stop people below you from throwing eggs out. If they do try and succeed, you caught it. Worst case scenario is that when 2 people grab the same egg, it launches vertically up in the air sometimes to break dumb stalemates, but remember that near your basket, the ground is sloped towards your basket, with hammers going inward to knock some eggs quite often. You’re relatively safe from any risk by grabbing. If anything you reduce the risk of eggs being thrown out.
- Ignore the little things. If someone is carrying a normal egg out and you can’t block them, DO NOT chase them when you have a golden egg in the basket. What happens then, is you will not realize WHEN someone do take your golden egg out. If you pick a role as a blocker, maintain that the whole round while prioritizing the golden eggs.
Of course, this means that at the start of the round, you should get eggs in the basket first. Extra tip regarding that: so how do I throw eggs into the basket if I shouldn’t get in baskets? well, you’ve come to the right place! While holding an egg, Jump+Dive, and release the egg-grab button at the end. This is a horizontal throw. I have not tested if “Vertical Throw” exists by doing the same thing without the dive, but this gets the eggs in the basket quickly and safely so I just do this. Once you’re losing in scores AND the other teams put up blocks like these, you will most likely just lose. Maybe you can jump dive into the blockers to cause the blockers to fall into the basket, but that’s up to the thieves/stealers/teammates on the field, not you. This tip is for anyone who’s team does NOT have enough blockers / any blocker whatsover yet and want to guard eggs. Once you see a lot of people on your team doing this, THEN you should go out in the field and try to steal eggs.
