Also if you encounter crashes while using AMD cards (especially in Mr. Freeze tasks), here is what we tried and worked for.
Turning off game overlay in AMD Software
As I said before, this fix is only for AMD cards. You should have AMD Software installed:
You can turn it on from the Start Menu or just use ALT + R shortcut (by default).
After it pops up, you want to head to the settings:
After that, you want to head to the Preferences tab. In the General section you will see In-Game Overlay setting. Turn it off so it says disabled like here:
After that you can boot up the game and check if it will happen anymore. For me, it stopped crashing the game with that D3D12 message. Before this I couldn’t even try fighting Mr. Freeze in his last mission because the game would crash after 2 or 3 minutes of said fight. After that I defeated him without encountering a single crash!
