Method 1: Rolling with Half-Life 1
If you have the Steam version of Half-Life 1, here’s the scoop (for now):
- Right-click on the “Half-Life” icon in your Steam Library.
- Smash that “Properties” button.
- Hit up “Betas.”
- Change the Beta Participation to “steam_legacy (Pre-25th Anniversary Build).”
- Open Counter-Strike and voila! You’re good to go.
Method 2: No Half-Life 1, No Problem
