About the Game

Kena: Bridge of Spirits is an action-adventure computer game developed and released by Ember Lab. The story follows Kena, a young spirit guide who utilizes her wonderful abilities to help deceased people move from the physical to the spirit world. The video game is presented through a third-person point of view. The gamer uses Kena’s staff for assaulting enemies, and her pulse ability for defending against attacks. They are tasked with gathering small spirit companions called the Rot, who help to complete tasks and battle against opponents.

The game’s development was led by bros Mike and Josh Grier, founders of Ember Lab. Having spent a number of years producing commercials and branded applications, the advancement group shifted to producing an original video game. They partnered with Sony Interactive Entertainment for a console-exclusive offer, and grew the team to 15 core workers. The game’s art was created in partnership with Vietnamese animation studio Sparx, and its imaginary world is influenced by Eastern places such as Japan and Bali. The original rating was composed by Jason Gallaty, who teamed up with Balinese ensemble group Gamelan Çudamani to create respectful gamelan music.

Kena: Bridge of Spirits was showcased at the Tribeca Film Festival; reception to the demo was positive. The game was launched for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5 on September 21, 2021.

Kena: Bridge of Spirits is an action-adventure game played from a third-person point of view. The player manages Kena, a young spirit guide with wonderful capabilities. In battle, the gamer utilizes Kena’s personnel for light, heavy, and charged attacks. An upgrade changes the staff into a bow. When preventing enemies, the gamer can activate Kena’s pulse capability, which serves as a shield and has a health meter that diminishes when assaulted; it likewise serves to supply hints and activate items. The player is tasked with collecting little spirit buddies referred to as the Rot.
