Superior Boss Guide
This guide will give players basic information about all of the current bosses currently in Superior, including: background info (lore), how to encounter them, their weakness, defeat conditions, and rewards for defeating them.
Backbone
About
In better days, Backbone earned his nickname because he was the backbone of any team. Now Backbone lashes out with horrific strength at anyone and anything that gets near him. Nobody knows if that’s because of hatred, pain, or simply because he’s evil.
Encounter
Backbone is the first boss that players encounter when playing Superior for the first time. If playing solo, players will encounter him when progressing through the game normally. If playing co-op, players must select the very first timeline (the path to Brute Force) to encounter him.
Combat
Backbone has several powerful moves such as a superhero leap, charging at the player, bashing the ground, and throwing a large chunk of rock at the player. Being hit by a rock thrown by Backbone will typically result in an instant death for lower level characters.
To defeat Backbone, players must fully deplete his health bar by destroying all of the pustules that spawn on his body over the course of two phases.

Reward
Once defeated, Backbone will drop a container of juice which players can use to acquire an additional superpower, as well as weapons and booster boxes. Defeating Backbone will also unlock the Xeno power set.
Wind-Up
About
Once well-known as an engineer and inventor, Wind-Up was always a little too obsessed with the robot toys of his youth. After a difficult and painful process, he eventually succeeded in turning himself into one. Now he has a vendetta against all organic life.
Encounter
Wind-Up is the second boss that players encounter when playing Superior for the first time. If playing solo, players will encounter him when progressing through the game normally. If playing co-op, players must select the first timeline (the path to Brute Force) or the second timeline (the path to Revolt) to encounter him.
Combat
Wind-Up comes equipped with an arsenal of proximity mines and an army of deadly toys to assist him in combat. Getting hit by a single mine may result in low level/weak players being insta-knocked, or killed.
Toys will relentlessly chase the player around the map, and pack a deadly punch, so it’s especially important to stay far away from them or take them down quickly. Positioning and spatial awareness is especially important for this fight.
To defeat Wind-Up, players must deplete Wind-Ups health bar over the course of two phases.

Brute Force
About
True to his name, Brute Force is a big, unintelligent bully. He used to be smart, but that’s all gone now. The only thing he remembers is hazy fragments of a past when he was cool and people liked him. He hasn’t figured out that’s not true anymore.
Encounter
Brute Force is the third boss that players encounter when playing Superior for the first time. If playing solo, players will encounter him as the final boss for timeline one when progressing through the game normally. If playing co-op, players must select the very first timeline (the path to Brute Force) to encounter him.
Combat
Players will first encounter Brute Force in the Hero Dome. Brute Force is equipped with heat seeking missile launchers which will constantly launch both large and small missiles at the player. About
Revolt is a cruel and malicious bully who harnesses the ability to manipulate electricity. Revolt used to be known for his refinement and good taste, back before he was twisted into an evil monster. Now he’s determined to put an end to humanity – and anyone who attempts to save it. He also likes to issue a constant battery of electricity-themed puns. He really gets a charge out of those.
Encounter
Revolt is the fourth boss that players encounter when playing through Superior. To encounter Revolt, players must first defeat Brute Force on timeline one, in order to unlock timeline two. Once timeline two is unlocked, players must choose to travel to the Earth on the right (the path to Revolt) in order to make their way to him.
