The enemies here are weak to Fire and Wind. Alphen can forge a new weapon called the Flare Claw that’s super useful for the enemies in this area.
From the entrance, you can go to the Inner Level by climbing the staircase (located in the middle of the map) or you can head towards the Central Level from the staircase all the way south.
Head towards the middle area but off the ladder to the right to find a Blue Chest containing 2000 Gald. Make your way to the Central Level (all the way south) for now. Climb the stairs up to a dead end with Boomy x3 and Ape x2. Beat them up and open the red chest behind them to receive Topaz Cloak for Rinwell. Now head back to the Inner Level.
On the Inner Level, continue along the path to the right and down to find enemies surrounding a red chest. Open the red chest to find Opal x1. Go back north and down the main route to the south to find a merchant and a campfire. It’s also not a bad idea to equip accessories like Opal to defend against Earth and Wind damage.

Embrace yourself for the battle ahead. It’s not too bad though. This boss, Zacarania, is weak against the wind element. I stored and casted Rinwell’s Gusty Nail to turn into Cyclone and made quick work of the boss within minutes. It’s also a good idea to forge Alphen’s Fire Claw weapon at the merchant next to the Healing Light. It will summon Boomy reinforcements, but I usually ignored them unless Shionne’s Special Action showed up which easily destroyed them.
After beating the boss to a pulp, there’s a blue chest on the fork to the right containing Beast Tail x2, continue onwards to the yellow marker to encounter more cutscenes. This foe may come as a bit of a surprise. Just wail on them with Law’s Special Action until the fight is over. A ton more cutscenes unfold.
In the Gold Dust Cats hideout you’ll find a blue treasure chest containing Treat. Leave the Gold Dust Cats hideout. You can walk through the Gilanne Woodland entrance, or fast travel to the entrance. Once you’re back in Viscint, it’s off to the Razum Quarry.
