Affinity Guide – Getting Those Rewards

The Rundown

This guide was written to help players determine what choices to pick in their forthcoming encounters with the NPCs they want to raise affinity with, as stated in the description when you clicked this guide.

Affinity, or a Hero NPC’s fondness of your chaser, is basically a measure of how much that NPC likes your character, and how well you mashed through the text to get to the next fight.

Affinity is raised in two methods:

1- Just clicking random keywords
2- Clicking specific keywords for sections that are currently listed as “Unknown”.

Please, take the time to read through this, and getting affinity will be a breeze.

** Will be adding in these details soon:
– Collecting Chaser Information
– Encountering Hero Chasers

Note: PLEASE NOTE THAT YOU NEED TO GET EVERY KEYWORD UNLOCKED BETWEEN RELATIONSHIP LEVELS. IF YOU PROCEED TO THE NEXT LEVEL WITHOUT UNLOCKING A KEYWORD, YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO UNLOCK IT, AND THEREFORE LOSE OUT ON TOTAL AFFINITY POINTS. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.

Where can I see Affinity Information?

In this guide, we will use Marian Vendor as an example: everyone’s favorite well-endowed Fox Witch.

To find affinity info, simply open the Game Menu, click “Player Info”, then “Affinity Info”.

Secret Tech

Look at the five images below, and see if you spot something important.

What’s the catch?

Simple, if what you spotted is “The order for keywords is always the same”, then you were right. If what you deduced was something else, well, that’s wrong.

While the keywords are not always the same, the order always is.

What’s the Specific Order of the Keywords?

So here comes the important part: The order.
Using these screenshots, and this short list, let it help you unlock keywords so you can slowly make your way up to the costume or weapon you want to unlock.

1- Recent News. (applies to every NPC)
2- Personal (applies to every NPC)
3- [Specific Title] being things like “Fox-eared Wizard”, “Deserter from Eryuell”, etc.
4- Advice (applies to every NPC)
5- Mission (applies to every NPC)
6- Abandoned Ruins (applies to almost every NPC, only in Level 2 and sometimes Level 3)
7- Del Lasa (applies to every NPC, level 2 and level 3 only)
8- Battle (applies to every NPC)
9- KurtzPel (applies to every NPC, starting as early as level 3)

For example, sometimes you will see a screen like:

  • Unknown
  • Unknown
  • Personal
  • Unknown
  • Fox-Eared Wizard
  • Fox-Eared Wizard
  • Advice
  • Unknown
  • Mission

For this, the solution is simple, it would be:

  • Recent News
  • Recent News
  • Personal
  • Personal
  • Fox-Eared Wizard
  • Fox-Eared Wizard
  • Advice
  • Advice
  • Mission

-The above listing is not accurate to an actual affinity keyword list

You can use this information to quickly deduce which keyword you are missing, and pick it the next time you encounter the target NPC.

End Notations, an unfinished guide

As this guide still lacks information, I will be revising and updating it until it is 100% reliable.
For now, this is just a guide with basic information on what to pick during NPC encounters.

Once the player arrives around the 2,900 Affinity Point mark, the player will most likely no longer have keywords to gain quick affinity. To earn the costume of a character at 3,500 Affinity, the player must grind missions repeatedly, between 25~35 times to earn the remaining 600 affinity points.
