With the exclusion of HM’s from Pokemon in the Sun and Moon entries of the series, we’ve seen GameFreak try to replace the mechanic in various ways. Let’s Go Pikachu and Eevee do so with a new type of move they’ve labeled Secret Techniques.
These special moves learned by your starter Pokemon, be it Eevee or Pikachu, will act as HM’s, clearing out bushes, dashing through the sky, or skimming across water.
