The Outlast Trials Closed Beta Tips and Tricks, Locations & Scripts

Tips, tricks, scenarios, locations, tutorial we made based on 10 hours of gameplay (1st map completed on all possible differences).

1. Tips

Tips will simplify ur gameplay.

  • 1.1. use mouse circle click on montsers, mines, electo carpets; but u r able to mark max only 1 entity and able only in coop.
  • 1.2. alarm – emeny coming/leave; spooky sounds – monster will find u in a few seconds; monsters sounds doesn’t mean it found u.
  • 1.3. bricks/bottles – use G while it in a hand for stun enemy; adrenaline – no stamina, faster while it affect; antidote – will fix ur headaches; medicine – will heal u; syringe – can revive dead teammate; RIG Charger – recharge ur active skill; battery – will charge up ur glasses;
  • 1.4. Q and E for turn around while u running or lifting the gates for example.
  • 1.5. checks doors, if u see any electro circuits (on door handle) then don’t open this door, there is a trap. (u can able disable trap from 1 of sides and get free battery from it)
  • 1.6. there are monsters insid of some barrels and lockers.
  • 1.7. press X for put it back; hold X for drop item
  • 1.8. 4 perks: blind, stun, heal, x-ray (check descriptions in the game). My tier list for newbies: 1. heal 2. x-ray 3. stun/blind. my tier list for speedrun (or just fast games): 1. stun 2. x-ray 3. blind 4. heal
  • 1.9. alive enemies that sit down somewhere and can attack u, but don’t will follow, so be ready.
  • 1.10. in some locations u can just follow the blood trail for pass them.

2. Tricks

Some kinda useful tricks for simplify ur gameplay.

  • 2.1. if monster found u, then run to the closest safe door to room with 1+ doors, (open), enter room, close door, (lock door), run to the other door, (open), leave this room, close door. fine, he missed u. (easy/normal dif only). Also u r able hide somewhere inside the room, instead of “leave this room” and next step.
  • 2.2. monster found u, ignore he and run to ur next task using the safe way, u lost stamina (but he following u), use bottle/bricks/stun based skills for stun it and u’ll be fine with stamina, then better follow 2.1. (it’s more like speedrun trick I think)
  • 2.3. hold W and Shift after few seconds u r able to press C or Left Ctrl for tackle
  • 2.4. tackles and stun enemy for run through the enemy; jump back for dodge an attack.

3. Locations

About all locations (bosses, how to pass, pick ups) (safe way)

  • 3.1. courtyard. bosses: 1 giant. pass: (easy/normal) – run to 2 cars and jump over between they and jump to the van right from u; (hard) – run faraway straight to the wall, trigger boss, enter the hole (crouch), wait the giant, it will break all doors on ur way, turn back to van, wait for boss, the jump over between cars, wait the boss will pre-reach u, jump back, enter the van. pick ups: syringe right from ur spawn, some stuff inside 2 houses right from u, also some bricks/bottles all over the map.
  • 3.2. police station. bosses: 1 headhunter (easy/normal), +1 giant (hard). pass: enter room with work tables. the run to right dark corridor, run straight, then left, leave the dark, turn left, run to capsules, enter capsule (stun or hide or run through for pass the boss). pick ups: some things r in van room, toilets, blocked room, conference table and few all over the map, on a wall.
  • 3.3. safe zone to snitch room (all bosses from 3.1. and 3.2. disappears on this part so u r free to explore 2 first locations (easy/normal only)). bosses: no one (easy/normal), +1 giant (hard). pass: press button, wait until cut scene will finish, go back to capsule, leave safe zone, go straight, turn left for enter the door, turn left, follow rails to reach the snitch (easy/normal); press button, after police man cut scene wait while giant will leave the lift, mark him from safe zone, go back to capsule, leave safe zone, run to door for trigger giant, back to closest table, switch places, run to snitch. pick ups: check walls, syringe in pre parking room, few pick ups can be in pre parking room.
  • 3.4. snitch room. bosses: no one (easy/normal), 1 giant (hard). pass: push snitch few meters, lights off, turn around, go straight, turn left, enter double door (easy/normal); sitdown behind snitch, wait when boss will go out, push snitch, lights off, turn around, go straight, turn left, enter double door (hard). pick ups: check 3.3. pick ups
  • 3.5. way to underground parking. bosses: no one (easy/normal), +1 head hunter (hard). pass: turn right, to straight to down parking. pick ups: cases and pick ups on a tables left and right from ur way, 1 pick ups near to bottom car, 0-1 pick up in bottom schedule left from u.
  • 3.6. underground parking. bosses: police man (easy/normal), +1 giant and +many stunning enemies (hard). pass: lift up gate, enter parking, find 2 or 4 generators and start they (on light switches from both sides of generator, start generator using crank in middle of generator (use canister to fill up generator – normal/hard), u started 100% (2 or 4) generators, lift up gate, leave parking. pick ups: everywhere.
  • 3.7. snitch room. bosses: no one. pass: push snitch to the gate, check monitor, open door right from u, go to body, check body, take a key from body, turn to snitch, open gate. pick ups: check 3.3. pick ups.
  • 3.8. 3 gates. bosses: 1 giant (easy), +1 head hunter (normal), +1 head hunter (hard). pass: follow rail for find 3 gates, check 3 monitors, find 3 rights keys in bodies all over the map (u can find they as question marks – (?), don’t open wrong bodies), open 3 gates, push snitch to the electro capsule. pick ups: everywhere.
  • 3.9. electro capsule: bosses: +1 police man. pass: there are 4 machines for burn off snitch (check bar in right left side of the screen). pick ups: nothing new.
  • 3.10. courtyard. bosses: +1 giant (easy), +1 police man (normal/hard). pass: just go through to start of level, then press button, wait for capsules, enter the capsule, fine u completed level. pick ups: nothing new.

4. The Outlast Trials Closed Beta Scripts

How it works

4.1. any monsters (and u) can spawn from lift-like doors somewhere in walls (they spawning with alarm sound)
4.2. police man don’t wanna leave location 3.9.

5. Good to know

In solo mode u have 4 lives.

  • Wrong players – players with custom nick names that contains letters of 2 or maybe more players will try to attack u with a small knife, just run away from he.
  • Gas man – time trigger enemy with gas, this attack hurt 3/3 -> 0/3 mind level, spawn with alarm from closest life-like door, can spawn on each location, except safe zone.
  • Death – unreal enemy, that spawns from floop if u have 0/3 mind level after gas man’s attack, then u have only few ways to fix it: 1. antidotes, 2. hide & run away while u don’t will Reach 3/3 mind level. (this guy easily can kill u from 4/4 HP to 0/4 HP within ~10 seconds without any animations) (cringe)

P.S. my average inventory: 2 antidotes, 1 large battery, Stun skill
