Gold Medal Checklist
- Pick up Javier when entering Horseshoe Overlook
- Complete within 6 minutes
You’ll start off Eastward Bound by driving a wagon toward a new campsite at Horseshoe Overlook, but, soon, a wheel falls off. Help the others repair the wagon by replacing the wheel as they hold it up.
After fixing it, a few Native Americans will appear on a nearby cliffside. They don’t interfere.
Get back in the wagon and continue on the trail. The group, including Charles, will converse about the sad fate of the Native Americans at the hand of the army.
You’ll learn about how weather affects your Health Core now. Make sure to change into clothes appropriate to the climate to avoid losing health core too fast.
You’ll also learn about herbs, as well. Eventually, you’ll see Javier.
GOLD MEDAL REQUIREMENTS

Shortly after picking up Javier, you’ll reach your new campsite. A cutscene will trigger once you get there.
Dutch will inform everyone to lie about where they came from. The ruse is that they’ve been “laid off” because of a factory closing to the North.
The end of this cutscene marks the end of the mission, and the entirety of Chapter one.
Red Dead Redemption 2 Eastward Bound is done.
